Job Description
Software Engineer on Amazon's Media Experience team, focused on building and maintaining asset management systems that store, manage, and render media assets for Amazon customers. This on-site role in Seattle, WA offers a salary range of USD 143,700 - 194,400 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, with at least one year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain systems that scale with growing demand, ensuring reliability and high performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary Amazonians to ideate, design, and deliver innovative products and services to market.
- Engage with technical stakeholders across teams to solve problems, align on technical direction, and ensure systems operate at large scale and speed.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Two or more years in design or architecture of new or existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling concerns.
- At least one year in a software development engineer role or a related occupation.
- One or more years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tier, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least one year of object oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
