Job Description

Build and maintain SDKs plus compiler and generator infrastructure to improve how developers ship features across languages.

Responsibilities

  • Drive feature parity across SDKs, including advanced capabilities such as auto-pagination and server-sent events
  • Expand SDK coverage into additional languages by building and evolving new generators (examples include Swift, Rust, Terraform)
  • Contribute to multiple codebases using TypeScript, Go, and Python
  • Collaborate with leadership on team growth through recruiting and mentorship
  • Set the standard for language-specific SDK quality, focusing on idiomatic, easy to use, and reliable APIs
  • Own core components of the open-source compiler to add features and improve developer experience
  • Stay current on language-specific tools and libraries, and engage directly with developers via GitHub and community forums
  • Help scale hiring and mentorship as the team expands

Requirements

  • 4–10 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in one of the following languages (specialist track): Java, PHP, Python, TypeScript, or Ruby
  • Broad technical fluency to contribute across multiple languages (generalist track)
  • Experience in fast-paced startup environments; founder experience is a plus
  • Strong product thinking and empathy for developer experience
  • Eagerness to work in a polyglot environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $170,000–$200,000 for Generalists; $200,000–$230,000 for Language Specialists
  • Equity: 0.1%–0.3%
  • Living bonus: $18,000 annually for candidates living near the office
  • Visa sponsorship: Not currently offered (may consider exceptional candidates)
