Software Engineer Staff

Staff-level Software Engineer position at Lockheed Martin Space, onsite in Colorado Springs, CO, focused on SATCOM systems within an Agile Development Team to deliver secure, high-performance software for military communications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate software solutions that satisfy customer needs, with emphasis on secure military communications.
• Produce high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code with thorough test coverage for web applications and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define requirements, craft test cases, and advance automated testing efforts.
• Contribute to sustaining secure and uninterrupted communications for critical military systems.

Requirements

• Professional experience in both frontend and backend software engineering.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, tools such as GitLab and GitHub, and containerization frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes.
• U.S. citizenship required; final Secret security clearance required to start.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
