Software QA Engineer I
Job Description
The remote Software QA Engineer I role at Cable One / Sparklight focuses on validating web, mobile, and e-commerce applications. The position covers test planning, functional and accessibility testing, database and API validation, and defect management, with close collaboration across cross-functional teams within Agile processes.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute test strategies and test cases for web, mobile, and e-commerce platforms.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and accessibility testing across digital properties.
- Validate data integrity through SQL queries against databases.
- Perform API testing using tools such as SOAP and Postman.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to identify defects and drive resolution.
- Apply enterprise QA practices and tools to uphold quality standards.
- Track and manage defects in Azure DevOps throughout their lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies.
Requirements
- Hands-on quality assurance experience for web and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for product management and work tracking.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
