Sr. Electrical Engineer (Firmware & Electronics Design)
Job Description
Senior Electrical Engineer opportunity focused on firmware and electronics design for rugged sensing and navigation systems, onsite in Lebanon, NH.
Responsibilities
- Design rugged electronic sensors and navigation systems for harsh environments including construction machines, agricultural equipment, military vehicles, and ships.
- Develop high-reliability PCB assemblies that withstand severe environmental conditions and deliver location, position, and orientation data with high accuracy over very long outdoor deployments.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to establish production methods that support high-quality electronics manufacturing.
- Identify, qualify, and manage key suppliers supporting electronic, software, and tool needs for design and development.
- Update and modify parts post-launch, qualify vendors as needed, and reduce cost on existing products.
- Participate in root cause investigations, corrective actions, process improvements, product testing and qualification, and product improvement initiatives.
- Develop and improve processes and procedures for new product introduction (NPI).
- Redesign existing products to reduce cost and address shortcomings in current designs.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. with 10+ years of industry experience, with primary background in electrical and embedded firmware engineering.
- Experience in mixed-signal, real-time signal processing, and communication device design.
- Experience designing for high volume electronics manufacturing.
- Additional experience in math, robotics, and physics is desirable.
- Required skills: Altium, ARM processors, C, C++, bare metal, RTOS, CANbus, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, SPI, UART, I2C, DSP, PCBA design and bring up, high-speed and mixed-signal design and debugging, and RF qualification and testing.
- Bonus skills: UWB, GNSS, antenna design, Kalman filters, vendor identification/qualification/relationship management, quality management, price negotiation, and domestic and overseas sourcing and logistics.

Salary: USD 90,000 - 185,000 per yearly
