Job Description

An onsite, 1-year contract opportunity in Erie, Pennsylvania for a Sr. Software Engineer focused on performance testing. This role resides in the Performance Testing team and centers on performance test engineering for migration efforts and IT enterprise core integration. You will collaborate across initiatives such as Billing V3, new Customer Service applications, and Data team work, with exposure to AWS migrations and multi‑platform workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a performance engineer on highly complex migration projects and related application work.
  • Support and help lead the core team to successful outcomes by applying technology breadth, core integration knowledge, and solid engineering fundamentals.
  • Provide the enterprise technology office with signoffs for PEGT and CAB through a streamlined process to help ensure high‑quality deliverables.
  • Join the Performance Testing team with an emphasis on enterprise core integration within IT modernization efforts.
  • Support several key initiatives, including Billing V3, Customer Service new applications, and Data team efforts.
  • Work across evolving practices such as AWS migrations and overarching application work across multiple technical platforms.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with LoadRunner Enterprise or similar load testing tools.
  • Experience validating application interactions and dependencies across areas within a single environment.
  • Participation and/or ownership of quality review processes (for example PEGT or CAB).
  • Ability to gather and define performance test requirements.
  • Experience with integrated requirements management practices; proficiency with Jira, Gitlab, and/or ServiceNow is a plus.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • LoadRunner Enterprise or an equivalent load testing tool knowledge and exposure.
  • Experience validating interactions and dependencies across multiple areas within one environment.
  • Participation and/or ownership of quality review processes (PEGT, CAB).
  • Ability to gather and define performance test requirements.
  • Integrated requirements management practices; Jira, Gitlab, and/or ServiceNow familiarity is advantageous.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience executing Chaos Engineering practices.
  • AWS Associate Developer Certification and/or AWS Professional DevOps Certification.
