Sr. Software Engineer

Kuder Inc is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to help deliver and evolve core Kuder products. This hybrid role supports full stack development, system integrations, and backend services, with a strong emphasis on technical leadership across architecture, data, infrastructure, and DevSecOps.

Based in Adel, IA, the role includes contributing to quality and security improvements, coordinating design and release planning, and providing 24x7 production support as needed.

What you’ll do

• Own full stack development for complex projects and issues, including technical design, data integrations, implementation, testing, and coaching engineers.
• Maintain existing applications by adding new features, including partner customizations.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Technology teams to create and implement technical designs aligned to current and future technology standards.
• Lead product development efforts by building and maintaining front-end code, back-end code, and data structures alongside user-friendly designs.
• Lead and review quality improvements across DevSecOps, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Ensure architecture diagrams and technical artifacts are produced at the right time and that design reviews are scheduled appropriately.
• Review and implement security and compliance tasks to mitigate business and technical risk, including change controls and vulnerability scans.
• Help mature IT processes and procedures.
• Lead or assist Go Live Releases, ensuring operational support is included and planned.
• Evaluate and implement improvements to application and system monitoring.
• Partner on infrastructure changes as needed, including Azure Cloud, data center, and database administration.
• Participate in concept, development, and design of future and existing global platforms and applications (technical and/or UI).
• Provide 24x7 production support as required.
• Enhance and lead vendor management processes and procedures, engaging internal teams and external partners at the right time.
• Keep current through continuing education, and participate in professional conferences, workshops, or groups; complete business training aligned with career development and career advising industry knowledge.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related major, or equivalent job experience.
• 12+ years of IT Development experience.
• 6+ years of full stack development, including experience leading large-scale cross-domain engineering initiatives.
• 5+ years cloud development and infrastructure platform experience (Ingress, Compute, Data).
• 5+ years of web (front-end) development.
• 3+ years tech lead experience.
• Experience with UI/UX designs and frameworks.
• Experience with accessibility standards, including WCAG AA 2.1.
• 5+ years working with vendor products, including integrations, security standards, and required updates.
• Experience with cloud application architecture and configuration across multiple listed areas, including:

• Relational databases, including data modeling and implementation.
• Application security design and implementation, plus DevSecOps and ITSM.
• Experience with unit testing, system integration testing, performance/load, and regression testing, including designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
• Working in an Agile development environment with continuous integration and continuous development.
