Stationary Engineer 2nd Class

Acushnet Golf is seeking a Stationary Engineer, 2nd Class to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of high‑pressure boiler systems at the onsite facility in New Bedford, MA. This role emphasizes reliable daily plant performance, adherence to regulatory requirements, and a culture of safety, with an hourly compensation in the $45 to $50 range.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineer in charge role to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of high‑pressure boiler systems and related equipment.
• Supervise daily boiler plant operations, applying and enforcing procedures that meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and manufacturer specifications.
• Monitor system performance, coordinate preventive maintenance and inspections, and proactively address operational or safety concerns to sustain reliability.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring full compliance with Massachusetts laws and industry standards while maintaining accurate logs and records.
• Promote continuous improvement and a safety‑driven culture across the plant through effective communication with facility leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of experience in boiler and steam plant operations.
• 2nd Class Engineer License is required.
