This full-time Structural Engineer role supports projects for commercial and retail building clients from the Manhattan, NY office at Armour Underfer Engineering (AUE). The position combines structural design and detailing with feasibility work, periodic site visits across the western US, and direct client coordination.

Role Overview

As a Structural Engineer, you will perform structural design and detailing for new and existing commercial and retail buildings. You will also contribute to feasibility studies and reports, participate in client meetings, and travel for site visits as needed across the western US, typically on day trips.

Key Responsibilities

Provide structural design and detailing for both new and existing commercial and retail buildings
Conduct site visits across the western US, typically as day trips
Prepare feasibility studies and reports
Interface with clients and attend client meetings

Required Qualifications

Bachelor in Civil Engineering
Entry to 6 years of experience
Experience with commercial building design using all materials preferred
Self-starter with strong motivation and ability to work as a team player
ACAD skills mandatory (Revit is a plus)
Ability to travel
