Systems Software Engineer

Alpine Solutions offers an on-site Systems Software Engineer role in Pleasanton, California. This position centers on commissioning and supporting BAS and industrial control systems, including transferring programming to the field, downloading software to controllers, startup and commissioning, testing, training, and project handover to Service. The role provides a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 130,000, a comprehensive benefits package, and the chance to contribute across field and project phases.

Responsibilities

• Implement programming developed by ASEs in the field
• Download software to controllers
• Startup and commission systems
• Perform sequence testing
• Support customer witness testing
• Provide customer training
• Complete final project closeout
• Collect live databases for project handover
• Turn projects over to the Service team

Requirements

• Experience with BAS and building automation systems
• Programming experience
• Database development skills
• HVAC controls knowledge
• Graphics experience
• HVAC mechanical backgrounds
• Mechanical systems knowledge
• Strong computer skills
• 2 to 10 years of related work experience in building automation systems and/or industrial control systems programming
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Windows, and File Structure
• Proven aptitude with TCP/IP network structure and web navigation
• Highly organized and able to thrive in a high paced environment
• Ability to operate independently and autonomously, with discretion to consult as needed with others in the organization and Project Manager
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to deliver high customer satisfaction and quality deliverables
• Evidence of ability to delegate tasks appropriately and allocate resources to diagnose and address issues
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
