Technical Support Engineer
Job Description
Options Technology is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide on-site support for client technology systems and Options trading operations and infrastructure in Dallas, TX. This role supports service delivery within defined SLAs, with a focus on system monitoring, incident response, and partnering with internal teams to keep enhancements and upgrades moving smoothly.
Role overview
Working as the primary technical point of contact, you will monitor internal system health and performance, carry out routine maintenance such as software updates and configuration changes, and handle troubleshooting for technical issues. When problems require deeper expertise, you will escalate complex cases to internal teams to support timely resolution. You will also support enhancements and upgrades by participating in testing and validation to help ensure reliable deployments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the client’s primary technical contact and deliver on-site support for Options technology systems.
- Monitor system health and performance; perform regular maintenance including software updates and configuration changes.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems to internal teams for prompt action.
- Handle client incidents and service requests within defined SLAs and follow established incident management processes.
- Develop strong relationships with key client stakeholders as a trusted technical advisor, addressing needs proactively.
- Collaborate with Options Technology teams on system enhancements and upgrades, including testing and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Endpoint Management, Device Deployment, and AV troubleshooting.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar on-site technical support role within financial services.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including the ability to analyze complex issues and identify root causes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical information clearly and build effective relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to understand and meet client requirements with exceptional service and proactive anticipation of needs.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
