Job Description

Lockheed Martin’s Colorado Springs team is seeking a UI/UX Software Engineer with an AI specialty to design, implement, and validate features for the CommandIQ battle management and C2 suite within an agile development setting. The role combines UI/UX design with AI-enabled tooling to deliver user-centric interfaces, on a part-time, hybrid basis in Colorado Springs. A Secret clearance and at least three years of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

  • Break down high-level roadmap features into actionable work items
  • Design, implement, integrate, and test software features
  • Conduct peer reviews and debug issues as they arise
  • Engage in technical discussions to address architecture needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and stakeholder needs

Requirements

  • Experience with UI/UX design and iteration tools (Figma, MockFlow, UXPin, Axure)
  • Experience using AI-enabled UI/UX tools within the design process (Figma AI, UX Pilot, Google Stitch)
  • Frontend development experience with Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Familiarity with Docker and REST APIs
  • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience (advanced degree may substitute for 2 years)
  • Active Secret Clearance

Security clearance

This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance level: Secret.

Work arrangement

  • Location: Colorado Springs, CO (hybrid)
  • Type: Part-time
  • Remote Telework: Part of the schedule may be completed remotely; the remainder occurs at a Lockheed Martin facility. Specific weekly arrangements will be discussed during the hiring process
  • Schedule: 4x10-hour days with 3 days off per week

Compensation

Annual base salary ranges from USD 93,200 to 164,450. The listed range applies to certain states (including California, Massachusetts, New York excluding most major metro areas, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, DC); for other states, the final range will reflect the location of work.
