Utility Engineer (III)

Pfister Hotel is hiring a Utility Engineer (III) to keep hotel building systems running safely and efficiently in Milwaukee, WI (onsite).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the hotel interior and exterior through preventative maintenance, repairs, and ongoing upkeep of building systems, equipment, and furnishings
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Handle guest and associate maintenance requests promptly and professionally, minimizing operational disruption
• Support cost-control efforts by promoting energy and utility efficiency and monitoring/maintaining heat, power, lighting, water, and sewer systems
• Follow OSHA, safety, and hotel standards while participating in required meetings and recommending process improvements that improve the guest and associate experience

Requirements

• Previous engineering, facilities maintenance, or building maintenance experience required; hospitality experience preferred
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems with the ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, work orders, safety procedures, and operating instructions
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to supporting guests and associates
• Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
