We are seeking an Accident Reconstructionist Engineer or Forensic Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute expert insights to accident reconstruction projects.

Position Overview

As an Accident Reconstructionist Engineer, you will apply engineering principles, physics, and investigative techniques to determine causes and contributing factors of accidents. You will produce detailed reports and provide expert testimony to aid legal teams, insurers, and other stakeholders in understanding complex scenarios and advancing road safety.

Responsibilities

• Accident Analysis: Investigate and analyze accident scenes, vehicle damage, and physical evidence to reconstruct the events surrounding an incident.
• Data Collection: Gather and interpret data from sources such as vehicle event data recorders, traffic footage, witness statements, and site evidence.
• Reconstruction Modeling: Create accurate 3D models and simulations using advanced software and engineering principles.
• Report Preparation: Develop clear, thorough reports detailing findings, methodologies, and conclusions for legal and insurance professionals.
• Expert Testimony: Provide testimony in legal settings and depositions, explaining technical concepts in non-technical terms.
• Collaboration: Work with attorneys, insurance adjusters, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to deliver expert guidance.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with advancements in reconstruction techniques, technology, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Forensic Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in accident reconstruction are a plus.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex technical information clearly; keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (ACTAR, SAE, etc.) are preferred.
• Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 1 year is preferred.
