Applications Engineer
Job Description
Based in Cincinnati, Ohio on site, this Applications Engineer position at A & P Technology, Inc. focuses on connecting customers with braided product solutions, assisting with troubleshooting, and guiding new offerings from concept through to production.
Responsibilities
- Directly interface with customers to define technical goals and identify or create braided solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with customers from the design phase through final product delivery, including providing guidance and support on composite processing.
- Partner with internal teams (sales, marketing, quality, machine design, and manufacturing) to develop and optimize products from initial concept through production, quality assurance, and sales.
- Adopt a hands-on approach to jointly develop products, outline customer-specified quality requirements, draft production work instructions, and identify key pricing parameters.
Requirements
- A strong troubleshooting mentality with a hands-on approach to finding solutions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Composite Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in composite fabrication or design and analysis.
- Experience in composite fabrication and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, Catia, or similar CAD software.
- Understanding of composite testing methods and their application to software analysis.
- Experience with Classical Lamination Theory and predicting basic composite properties.
- Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and outline requirements.
