Applications Engineer II
Job Description
Wilder Systems seeks an Applications Engineer II in Oklahoma City, onsite, with a salary range of USD 75,000 - 100,000 per year, to translate customer requirements into deployed robotic systems and support cross‑disciplinary deployments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end‑to‑end product delivery to customers by defining specifications, validating performance, leading on‑site training, and refining field feedback to meet objectives and timelines.
- Develop and execute test protocols and maintain documentation in line with industry standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineering teams to convert customer needs into deployable robotic systems.
- Oversee customer‑facing technical communication throughout the project lifecycle, from kickoff through deployment, training, and post‑deployment support.
- Direct commissioning activities, including FAT and SAT, at Wilder facilities and customer sites.
- Contribute to product roadmap and continuous improvement by translating field learnings, customer feedback, and performance data into actionable engineering work.
- Create and maintain project objectives, requirements documents, and timelines, and drive execution to meet them.
Requirements
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and complex systems.
- Strong understanding of sensors and motion systems such as encoders, laser range finders, camera optics, and load cells.
- Proven track record delivering products to customers, including meeting specifications, providing training, and iterating on feedback.
- Hands‑on experience developing and executing test protocols and documenting results to industry standards.
- Experience with object‑oriented programming.
- Proficiency with CAD, GD&T, reading engineering drawings, and metrology concepts.
- Ability to create and manage objectives, requirements, and timelines for projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Required).
- Experience in project planning and execution.
- Strong communication, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and understand basic electrical and mechanical control systems.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and interact with customers.
- Must provide proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- Able to travel occasionally.
- Relocate to Oklahoma City, OK before starting work.
