Job Description

TriNet is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to help build, support, test, and release its web and mobile applications. The role partners with scrum teams across locations and contributes throughout the software development life cycle.

Role Overview

  • Design and develop new solutions, implement enhancements and updates to existing solutions, and address system issues independently.
  • Use Agile methodology and project management tools to collaborate with geographically diverse scrum teams.
  • Contribute to improved processes, methods, and tools to enhance software delivery effectiveness.
  • Learn and apply new technologies to support current products and products on the strategic roadmap.
  • Participate across the development life cycle with a focus on development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Support best coding practices, including assistance with code merges and releases.
  • Develop unit and automation test scripts aligned to a test-driven development approach.
  • Work independently or in collaboration with others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with applicable policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Typically less than 2 years of experience developing products and platforms using either UI or backend web technologies.
  • Understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Software development experience with Java, Python, or other object-oriented languages.
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks such as AngularJS or ReactJS.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture, end-to-end UI/API integration, and knowledge of API protocols including REST, gRPC, and graphQL.
  • Familiarity with best coding practices, UI and backend architectures, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of caching technologies and DBMS platforms such as Oracle, MySQL, PostGres, and MongoDB.

  • Salary: USD 69,900 - 118,000 per year
  • Travel: Minimal
