Job Description

Wiwynn International Corporation is seeking an Automation Engineer for an onsite role in El Paso, TX. The position focuses on designing, developing, and implementing automation systems that support manufacturing productivity, operational efficiency, and measurable performance improvements.

Overview

The Automation Engineer designs and deploys automation solutions for manufacturing processes while supporting continuous improvement efforts. Work includes reducing human error, optimizing operational processes, and integrating automated equipment with existing software and infrastructure. All automation activities are carried out with adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement automation systems for industrial, software, or infrastructure processes.
  • Modify and enhance automated equipment in response to operational needs and process changes.
  • Integrate new automation solutions with existing software platforms and manufacturing infrastructure.
  • Assess current manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and propose automation-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and workflows.
  • Validate the quality, efficiency, and performance of implemented automation systems and document outcomes.
  • Develop and publish reports covering automation project status, performance metrics, and results for management.
  • Maintain technical documentation for automation systems, configurations, and improvements.
  • Implement and enforce safety best practices in automation systems to protect employees and company assets.
  • Ensure automation projects comply with company safety standards and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or another relevant field is preferred; the degree may be substituted by equivalent years of experience.
  • Ideal major: Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in automation systems is strongly preferred.
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Equipment handling and troubleshooting skills.
  • Leadership and coordination capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interdepartmental communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in manufacturing areas for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting and equipment adjustments as required.
  • Ability to use standard office and engineering tools.

Compensation and Location

Location: El Paso, TX (onsite). Salary: USD 62,100 per year.
