Bilingual (Chinese/English) Project Assistant / Project Engineer
Job Description
LAIENPARTS TECHNOLOGY INC. is seeking a bilingual Chinese/English project professional to support construction project execution in Phoenix, AZ. The role offers a dual-track path, open to either Project Assistant or Project Engineer, with a focus on keeping schedules aligned, monitoring costs, handling procurement, and coordinating subcontractors on site and in the office. This position requires on-site presence at AZ projects and US work authorization.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track project schedules and progress
- Manage workforce attendance and daily records
- Perform departmental administrative tasks, documentation, and data consolidation
- Handle material procurement and purchasing processes
- Process project-related expense applications
- Support billing to clients and payment processing to subcontractors/vendors
- Assist with project cost allocation and project closeout
- Prepare meeting materials and record meeting minutes
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors
- Review material drawings, site conditions, and construction specifications
- Coordinate Hook-Up activities including:
- Drawing review and site walkthroughs
- Construction methods and testing standards
- Safety compliance and contractor management
- Manage Hook-Up processes and workflows
- Coordinate across internal teams and subcontractors
- Oversee site execution, sequencing, and progress control
- Handle client communication and subcontractor payment processes
- Work independently on project coordination and site management
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in construction, engineering support, or administrative roles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- 3+ years of experience in construction or project engineering (industrial/semiconductor experience preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and material details
- Experience with site coordination, contractor management, and construction workflows (e.g., Hook-Up processes)
- Familiar with construction safety standards and regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Experience in cost tracking, billing, and subcontractor payment processes
