Building Maintenance Engineer

Wellsboro Hotel Company is hiring a Building Maintenance Engineer for full-time, onsite work in Wellsboro, PA. In this role, you will help keep the hotel facility safe, functional, and welcoming by completing work orders, supporting preventative maintenance, and applying specialized skills across key building systems, grounds, and seasonal needs. What You’ll Do

• Oversee and maintain major hotel systems, including hot water systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, lighting, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and other critical systems to support efficient operation.
• Review and respond to work orders in an organized, efficient manner to resolve maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to help prevent breakdowns and extend equipment and system lifespan.
• Coordinate repair and maintenance work with outside vendors, ensuring services align with hotel needs and scheduling.
• Use specialized skills in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool maintenance, and more to support and supervise in-house projects requiring advanced technical work.
• Manage snow and ice removal from walkways and entrances during winter to support guest safety and accessibility.
• Complete interior and exterior painting tasks to maintain a clean, welcoming hotel appearance.
• Maintain plumbing performance, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, repairing pipes, and maintaining water supply systems.
• Handle electrical repairs and maintenance, including lighting issues, electrical outlets, circuit breakers, and ensuring electrical systems operate safely.
• Perform carpentry repairs for furniture, doors, and building components to preserve structural integrity and aesthetics.
• Support outdoor upkeep by maintaining walkways and overall grounds cleanliness and appearance.
• Complete seasonal maintenance, including leaf removal, to keep outdoor spaces well maintained year-round.
