Hotel Maintenance - Engineer II PM Shift
Job Description
The Engineer II supports the day-to-day operation of Hotel Drover by performing preventative maintenance and repairs across key building systems. This role prioritizes safety, reliable functionality, and maintenance service aligned with Marriott/Autograph Collection standards.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
- Complete preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, HVAC systems, and building components, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments.
- Visually inspect equipment and machinery, identify issues, and troubleshoot problems involving tools, equipment, or related systems.
- Carry and operate tools, radios, and equipment required to perform assigned engineering tasks.
- Identify, locate, and operate all building shut-off valves, emergency disconnects, and utility shut-offs.
- Maintain accurate inventories of parts, tools, and supplies, and requisition materials as needed.
- Log and communicate daily activities, maintenance concerns, and shift notes using department-approved communication programs.
- Replace consumables and components such as light bulbs, A/C filters, ceiling tiles, and other replacement items.
- Use engineering computer systems to support preventative maintenance, energy management activities, and work order processing.
- Maintain polished and refined communication with guests, leaders, and team members.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in a hotel or luxury residential environment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with guests and team members.

Environment / Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and move for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; heavier items with assistance.
- Work in varied environments including mechanical rooms, rooftops, outdoor areas, hot/cold zones, and confined spaces.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, reach overhead, and crawl as needed.
- Ability to use ladders, lifts, and step stools safely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel engineering within a luxury or lifestyle brand property.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Background in exterior/interior surface repair, painting, or multi-trade work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Location and Experience Level
Fort Worth, TX (onsite) with a minimum of 2 years of maintenance or engineering experience.
