Maintenance Engineer

Image Hotel Management is hiring a Maintenance Engineer for an onsite role in Grove City, OH. In this position, you help keep the hotel running smoothly by maintaining the property’s appearance, equipment, and preventive maintenance systems, while supporting a safe, guest-focused environment. You will coordinate key maintenance activities, work orders, and outside vendors to ensure the hotel meets brand and hotel standards.

What you’ll do

• Maintain professional personal presentation by wearing the proper uniform and name tag as prescribed by the hotel.
• Support the overall maintenance and upkeep of the property, completing and documenting preventative maintenance for guestroom and public areas.
• Maintain a guest first approach and provide friendly guest contact when interacting with the team’s customers.
• Follow and reinforce safety practices for associates and guests, supporting proper emergency and security procedures.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance across rooms, public areas, and other department programs in line with brand and hotel standards, including maintaining appropriate logs and rechecking rooms or suites before releasing to housekeeping or front office.
• Maintain knowledge of heating and cooling systems, voltage systems, wiring, and motors throughout the property.
• Support proper installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment and plumbing.
• Maintain a current inventory of supplies used for maintenance operations.
• Maintain hotel grounds, curb appeal, and building exteriors consistently.
• Manage a work order assignment program for both completed and pending work orders, prioritizing and completing items in a timely manner and monitoring deficiencies. Communicate completion to the requesting party when needed.
• Ensure swimming pool and spa maintenance duties are completed and documented according to manufacturer specifications and local Health Department Regulations.
• Review purchase requests and monitor expenses to help meet or exceed budgeted goals.
• Review outside contract services for departmental responsibilities with the General Manager.
• Work independently and establish priorities without supervision, while also partnering with hotel staff as part of the team.
• Complete additional duties assigned by the hotel manager as necessary.

Requirements

• Willingness to respond to emergencies, including after hours.
• Ability to work with corporate maintenance on special remodeling projects or capital expenditure needs.
• Overall maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting ability, including skills in painting, HVAC, carpentry, equipment, and tool usage.
• Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; and bend, squat, and stretch as needed during equipment inspection and repair.
