Civil/Geotechnical Engineer

Earth Wall Products, based in Smyrna, Georgia, handles retaining wall design work for projects across the United States. This in-office, full-time Civil/Geotechnical Engineer role focuses on creating detailed retaining wall designs, generating AutoCAD drawings, and providing peer reviews and practical solutions to engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• This position is an in-office engineer role, five days a week, located in Smyrna, GA.
• Develop detailed retaining wall designs, sections, and quantities.
• Produce retaining wall drawings using AutoCAD.
• Review the work of other members of the engineering team.
• Make recommendations or present alternative solutions to problems.
• Contribute to team efforts by assisting with related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related technical field from an ABET-accredited college/university.
• Classroom coursework and/or professional experience in Geotechnical Engineering required.
• 4+ years of experience plus PE license and/or M.S. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems; highly detail-oriented and accurate.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks from concept through delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with retaining wall design is highly preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with grading and roadway plans, slope stability, foundation design, and reinforced concrete is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication, writing, and technical presentation skills.

Compensation

• Salary: USD 100,000 per year
