Civil/Structural Engineer - AI Trainer

micro1 is hiring remote Civil/Structural Engineers as contractors to generate high-quality civil and structural engineering inputs that support next-generation AI training.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and refine detailed civil and structural drawing sets, including plans, elevations, sections, and schedules.
• Author and manage BIM models using Revit or ArchiCAD for complex and multi-building project requirements.
• Ensure BIM outputs comply with relevant code families, including Eurocode, ACI, ASCE, IS, and BS.
• Export and validate IFC 2x3 or IFC4, confirming geometry, classification, and mapping integrity for design coordination and interoperability.
• Document and communicate technical decisions and design rationale using clear written and verbal communication.
• Use professional experience to evaluate requirements, identify constructability issues, and propose improvements.
• Assess BIM tools and data workflows, providing feedback on functionality and usability.
• Deliver domain-grade inputs that directly inform training and evaluation of AI-powered engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture ( Master’s degree preferred ).
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on, post-degree practice authoring complete drawing sets and leading model development (beyond markups or reviews).
• 3+ years of daily, expert BIM authoring experience with Revit, ArchiCAD, or BlenderBIM, including IFC export and validation.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary coordination for complex or multi-building solutions.
• Code literacy and ability to reference/apply Eurocode, ACI, ASCE, IS, or BS standards.
• Fluency in written and spoken English with strong technical articulation and clarity.

Compensation

• USD 30–50 per hour (contractor role)
• Payment is based on approved work completed and accepted through the project’s quality review process
