Job Description

This on-site role with Lockheed Martin RMS in Hanover, MD offers a competitive salary and a robust benefits package. You will lead software development teams, design and integrate DSP and RF software, and drive cyber RF solutions from concept to delivery within a collaborative engineering environment.

Salary range: $104,900 - $184,920 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure work aligns with the project’s software development process.
  • Mentor team members and support their growth and skill development.
  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance criteria.
  • Design and implement new software features or modify existing code.
  • Debug and resolve defects to maintain reliable and efficient software.
  • Recommend improvements to documentation and software development process standards.
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or environments; requires deep knowledge of C++, Kubernetes, Python 3.0, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply Agile Sprint Development practices; experience on projects involving Digital Signal Processing and related RF technologies.

Requirements

  • Active security clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a DSP focus from an accredited institution.
  • Equivalency: MS in Engineering/CS + 2 years of experience OR 4 years of DSP experience + high school diploma.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience developing DSP algorithms on projects that follow established software processes.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional programming experience using C++, Linux, Python (or comparable languages).
