Lockheed Martin's Artificial Intelligence Center in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for STAR.UI within the Mission Autonomy program. This part-time, hybrid role centers on AI-enabled software development, lifecycle delivery, and technical leadership across the STAR.OS portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop software products that embed AI to deliver advanced capabilities for customers.
- Engage in all phases of the system development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design, implementation, integration, and flight testing.
- Participate in activities ranging from proofs of concept and prototypes to demonstrators and transitions to production.
- Apply current computer science paradigms such as object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms to create code that solves complex problems and enables innovative solutions.
- Work with concurrency (threaded and multi-processing) and have familiarity with I/O including block storage, networks, and databases.
- Assume technical lead responsibilities and mentor junior engineers as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with Angular or React or Node.
- Strong understanding of Git.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker or Podman, Kubernetes or Helm, and GitLab/GitHub/Jenkins CI/CD.

Remote Work Availability

Work Schedules
Lockheed Martin offers a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility. Schedules range from standard 40 hours across five days to condensed arrangements, which provide additional time away from the office and are in addition to paid time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position
4x10 hour days, three days off per week.
Pay Range
The annual base salary range is $108,800 to $191,820. In California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington, DC, the range applies as stated.
