Electric Engineer

Williams Comfort Air is seeking an experienced Electric Project Engineer to ensure electrical projects are accurately engineered, fully scoped, and ready for execution. This onsite role based in Indianapolis works with sales, service, installation, and management teams on a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, with a compensation range of USD 75,000–100,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all contracted electric projects across markets to verify scope, accuracy, and readiness for execution.
• Develop engineered solutions for sold projects to ensure a well-defined scope of work, complete documentation, and installation readiness.
• Create precise material takeoffs and confirm all required materials are ordered and available before installation.
• Coordinate with Project Management to support job creation, scheduling, and expedited project delivery.
• Source materials using just-in-time principles to align with installation timelines.
• Maintain accuracy of material orders and minimize rework or shortages.
• Oversee material usage to keep revenue, material costs, and labor within budget.
• Manage warranty part returns and issue return purchase orders for unused materials.
• Assist in obtaining all necessary permits for each project.
• Monitor and support timely inspections.
• Maintain adherence to engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
• Serve as a technical resource for service, sales, installation, and management teams.
• Remain accessible and responsive to inquiries about engineered installations.
• Track daily schedules and help keep installation teams fully utilized.
• Promote the WCA Group brand and Max Service Group standards through professionalism and accountability.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of electrical experience.
• Electrical license(s) preferred.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and critical thinking.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficient with Excel, Outlook, Service Titan, and website operations.
• Excellent telephone etiquette.
