Electrical Component Engineer / Electrical Engineer (Level II)
Job Description
Electrical Component Engineer (Level II) at Lockheed Martin Corporation onsite in Englewood, CO leads Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical parts engineering activities to ensure reliable components for strategic systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support Electrical Component (Parts) Engineering, and develop and execute the program's Electrical Electronic Electromechanical (EEE) Parts management plan.
- Contribute to hardware design, manufacture, and test tasks within EEE Parts Engineering technical assignments.
- Participate in the selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of EEE Parts.
- Prepare technical and progress reports, write specifications, evaluate suppliers, and analyze test reports.
- Coordinate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organizations.
- Work with electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits, hybrids, crystals and oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, and thermistors.
- Travel and collaborate with suppliers and government agencies to ensure component selections meet quality and performance expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related technical field and 1+ years of related professional work experience.
- Formal coursework, training, or experience in design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits; semiconductor physics; operation of devices such as hybrids, ICs, transistors, diodes, and capacitors.
- Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEE parts.
- Willingness or ability to obtain or maintain Secret security clearance; US Citizenship Required.
