Job Description

Join Stern Pinball, Inc in Elk Grove Village, IL for a full-time, onsite Electrical Engineer role. The position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 105,000 to 125,000, along with a benefits package that includes 401(k), dental, health, and vision insurance. You will contribute to the design, development, and support of electronics used in pinball machines, helping ensure electrical systems meet industry standards and uphold product quality. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement new electronic systems and features for pinball machines under the direction of the Director of Electrical Engineering.
  • Maintain system integrity within designs and electronics architecture.
  • Identify and integrate new technologies and components into products as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards including UL, FCC, and CE-EMI.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, game designers, and other departments to ensure seamless electrical integration.
  • Develop and maintain electrical engineering documentation such as schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and AVL for electronic components.
  • Work with the ERP system Visual-Infor as required.
  • Self-manage and track tasks and resources to meet development goals.
  • Coordinate with game development teams to apply electronics designs to support game features.
  • Develop test fixtures and equipment to support external electronics board assembly houses and internal production efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Science (BSCE) with a focus on electronic hardware circuits.
  • Minimum 2 years of electrical engineering design and development experience.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary development environment.
  • Proficiency with digital, analog, and power circuits.
  • Experience with electrical design and layout tools, with EAGLE preferred.
  • Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
