Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Electrical Engineer opportunity in Lafayette, IN focused on product design, PCB/schematic work, firmware, and production and documentation support.
Responsibilities
- Design product hardware and firmware applications, including printed circuit boards.
- Create schematic capture and perform printed circuit board layout for both new designs and maintenance of existing designs.
- Specify and source custom components for PCB builds.
- Support production technicians with product checkout, repair, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Provide documentation support, including production assembly procedures, technical checkout procedures, engineering change orders, and quality control documents.
- Assist with quality and compliance documentation and testing for standards including FDA, CE, ISO, and GMP.
- Deliver manufacturing support, including process troubleshooting, replacement of obsolete components, and repair guidance.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience in product design and support.
- Printed circuit board design experience using Easy-PC.
- Embedded systems development experience.
- Experience developing in Microchip environments using MPLAB.
- Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and firmware.
- Soldering experience.
- Experience with Pick-in-Place and AOI.
- Circuit analysis skills using tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with the Acumatica ERP system.
- Experience using Asana for project management.

Job Details
- Employment type: Full-time
- Location: Lafayette, IN (onsite / in person)
- Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility based on need
- Travel: Not required
- Salary: USD 75,000 to 80,000 per year
