Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer role based in Clintonville, WI (onsite) focused on electrical specification, design, and support for custom fire apparatus builds.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and initiate future technology initiatives related to electrical component design
• Create electrical schematic drawings aligned with company and industry standards for harness design
• Develop and maintain bills of materials to support product orders
• Read and interpret 2-dimensional product sales drawings for electrical design inputs
• Produce engineering documentation using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Maintain and perform revision control for engineering documentation tied to customer orders, following the company schedule
• Support sales and customers with product interpretation and electrical design questions
• Assist manufacturing with troubleshooting issues encountered during build

Requirements

• 4-year Engineering degree or 3 to 5 years of relevant experience (minimum experience level: 3 years)
• Understanding of CAN bus based electrical systems and multiplexing vehicle systems
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks (3-D design) and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of sheet metal design as well as manufacturing and fabrication capabilities
• Understanding of SolidWorks Enterprise Product Data Management (PDM)
• Knowledge of Cummins Engine Diagnostics and troubleshooting software
