Job Description

Electrical Engineer II with Himoinsa Power Systems focuses on manufacturing and assembly of diesel and natural gas powered generator solutions, ensuring quality and timely delivery while collaborating on integrated electrical designs.

Responsibilities

  • Review mechanical and electrical drawings and generate updated blueprints reflecting modifications to equipment or in-house assemblies.
  • Handle additional requests to maintain daily operational efficiency, including training maintenance personnel.
  • Perform routine duties and repairs per work orders.
  • Uphold 5S directives and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical devices, equipment, or systems per established criteria or specifications.
  • Assist in the inspection and evaluation of electrical projects and resources.
  • Identify electrical engineering problems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review and update technical electrical project design documents, calculations, and submittals.
  • Prepare technical electrical engineering reports and studies with completeness, technical adequacy, and adherence to prescribed formats.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to develop integrated solutions.
  • Work closely with engineers, prototyping, product engineering and sales in a team environment.
  • Perform board level design verification testing.
  • Analyze and interpret electrical system and subsystem requirements and specifications.
  • Evaluate new or alternate products.
  • Assist with development of new product offers to meet market needs.
  • Create, modify, and update schematics, BOMs, and electrical schematics for new products.
  • Provide input and support to manufacturing design discussions and decisions.
  • Work with vendors and sourcing to define technical requirements for products and components.
  • Prototype circuits and assemblies to prove concepts and reduce design risks.
  • Iteratively improve designs to pass functional design verification, safety, and UL validation testing.
  • Perform troubleshooting at component and system levels.
  • Verify and document circuit and assembly functions per design requirements.
  • Identify and present improvement opportunities for quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Generate engineering change orders to release components and assemblies, implement improvements and clarifications, and reduce errors.
  • Redesign assemblies for better performance, lower cost, UL compliance, and to replace obsolete or at-risk components.
  • Determine root causes, document findings, and propose solutions.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving the Quality Management System through proper execution of its processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and GMPs consistently.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial power engineering.
  • Proficient to expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Proficient to expert in Autodesk Suite or SolidWorks.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Excellent communication skills, bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues to team members and management.
  • Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

Pay

  • From $65,000 per year
