Job Description
Electrical Engineer role in medical devices, onsite in Minneapolis, MN, focused on hardware design, testing, verification, and regulatory compliance for regulated medical products.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of medical devices.
- Review and analyze analog, digital, power, and RF circuits; evaluate schematics and PCB layouts.
- Collaborate with the firmware and embedded software team to ensure seamless system integration.
- Develop and execute test methods, perform Test Method Validation (TMV), and generate TMV reports.
- Plan, execute, and document EMC testing for medical devices, interpreting results to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Create and maintain detailed test protocols, test plans, and test reports.
- Perform verification and validation (V&V) testing at subsystem and system levels.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory partners.
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record in medical device development.
- Strong expertise in analog, digital, power, and RF circuit design and layout assessment.
- Hands-on experience with TMV, test execution, and documentation.
- Experience with EMC testing for medical devices.
- Proven ability to perform verification and validation (V&V) testing, including protocol and report creation and review.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate in a highly regulated environment with meticulous attention to detail.
