Electrical Engineer β Operations Manager (Water/Wastewater Construction, Federal Projects)
Job Description
Atlantic Electric LLC seeks an Electrical Engineer who will transition into an Operations Manager role to lead electrical construction efforts, with a clear emphasis on water and wastewater treatment facilities as well as federal projects. This position blends technical leadership with cross-functional coordination among engineers, contractors, and field teams to drive project execution, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of electrical construction projects, focusing on water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Oversee execution of federal projects, ensuring compliance with agency requirements such as USACE, NAVFAC, and FAA
- Manage electrical scopes on FAA-related infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to aviation and federal standards
- Ensure compliance with federal project requirements, specifications, reporting, and documentation standards
- Oversee project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Manage project schedules and budgets
- Review and interpret electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and submittals
- Coordinate closely with engineers, contractors, and government representatives
- Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, quality control, and regulatory compliance
- Identify and resolve operational challenges, risks, and project issues proactively
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- Minimum 7β10+ years of experience in electrical construction
- Demonstrated experience with water/wastewater treatment plant projects
- Experience working on federal, government, or USACE/NAVFAC/FAA projects
- Proven leadership experience managing multiple projects and teams
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and applicable federal construction standards
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and control system designs
