Electrical Engineer - RF Systems
Job Description
Asylon is seeking an Electrical Engineer with RF and EMI expertise to design, test, and maintain electrical and RF systems for DroneCore robotics products, on-site in Norristown, PA.
Responsibilities
- Architect, analyze, and optimize wireless communication systems for the Asylon robot platforms
- Design, develop, test, and sustain DroneCore electronics, including circuit boards and wire harnesses
- Ensure Asylon robots withstand electromagnetic interference in demanding environments
- Enhance existing systems to meet customer requirements
- Establish manufacturing and QA processes for PCBs, wire harnesses, and other electrical components to meet industry standards
- Incorporate design for manufacturability and other manufacturing considerations toward scalable mass production
- Develop and execute a validation plan for the system electronics
- Address reliability, yield, and performance issues from development through production
- Perform RF testing and troubleshooting to confirm the reliability and performance of communications and sensor subsystems
- Stay current with emerging RF and electronics technologies and industry trends to sustain innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Proficiency with RF measurement tools such as network analyzers, signal analyzers, and near-field scanners
- Electrical design experience including circuit design, schematic capture, and board layout/design, preferably with Altium experience
- Experience prototyping and fabricating new products
- Circuit simulation
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance
