Job Description

Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineering Manager role with Hesnor Engineering Associates in Albany, NY onsite, offering USD 140,000–160,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electrical engineering staff to develop concepts, strategies, construction documents, and reports for new buildings or renovations.
  • Provide electrical design leadership across multi-disciplinary design projects, including building power supply and distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, security, telecommunications, data center power, and networking systems.
  • Interact directly with clients on technical analyses of design options, cost-benefit comparisons, and results presentations to assist owners in decision making while maintaining client relationships.
  • Direct the electrical project team to meet project goals and deliver high-quality work products.
  • Coordinate and align electrical work with mechanical and other multi-disciplined teams to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with a professional A/E services firm is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Strong writing, organizational, and communications skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task efficiently.
  • Ability to work positively in a team environment.
  • New York Professional Engineer license is required or must be obtainable.
  • Knowledge of AutoCADD and/or Revit is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).

Experience

  • Building electrical consulting design: 10 years (preferred).

Licenses/Certifications

  • Professional Electrical Engineer License (preferred).
