Job Description

The Electrical Professional Engineer will support municipal power distribution review efforts and lead power distribution upgrade projects tied to water and wastewater facilities. This onsite role in Oakland, CA centers on technical deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, and project reports for municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Power Distribution reviews for municipal facilities.
  • Manage power distribution upgrade projects for water and wastewater engagements across South Florida.
  • Prepare project reports, develop plans, and author specifications for municipal clients.
  • Develop, read, and interpret P&IDs and control schematics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer registration.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience designing low and medium voltage power distribution systems, including industrial, controls, and lighting systems for municipal facilities.
  • Strong experience designing point to point conduit and wire systems for municipal facilities and water treatment plants.
  • Experience creating one-line diagrams and control schematics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70E and ETAP.
  • Extensive experience across medium and large-scale water and wastewater municipal projects.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (+).

Compensation and Location

  • Location: Oakland, CA (onsite)
  • Salary: USD 105,000 - 149,999 per year
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years
