Electronic Design Engineer

I/O Controls Corporation is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to support the design, validation, and improvement of electronic products at their Rowland Heights, CA location. This is an onsite, full-time role focused on taking concepts from schematics through prototype build and engineering testing, then troubleshooting issues that surface during internal evaluation or with customers.

The position involves hands-on work with electronic hardware design and microcontroller firmware development, along with Mandarin communication skills. If you have experience across schematics, PCB layout, and embedded development, this role will place you at the center of prototype delivery and product reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review schematics, including reviewing schematics produced by the design team.
• Design, build, troubleshoot, and test new product prototypes.
• Write and maintain detailed documentation, including product requirements, product design, development process, and change logs.
• Troubleshoot product issues reported by internal teams and/or external customers.
• Perform engineering testing and document test activities and results.
• Travel to customer sites on an occasional basis.
• Support other projects and assigned tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in electronic hardware design and/or microcontroller firmware programming.
• Ability to communicate effectively with strong written and verbal skills.
• Mandarin speaking skills are required.
• Experience with schematics design and PCB layout.
• Ability to use an oscilloscope.
• Familiarity with microcontroller firmware development using C and C++.
• Experience with ST Micro, NXP, or Infineon microprocessors.

Compensation and Benefits
