Job Description
Role: Gas Turbine Commissioning Engineer at Siemens Energy, onsite in Orlando, FL, with a salary range of USD 76,800 - 162,200 per year.
Responsibilities
- Oversee on-site pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and start‑up of new gas turbine installations, prioritizing safety and efficient execution.
- Identify and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and control system issues encountered during commissioning.
- Conduct performance testing and system validation to verify adherence to design and operational requirements.
- Develop comprehensive commissioning plans, schedules, and test procedures to maintain project timelines.
- Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation and manuals to support smooth client handover.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with clients, contractors, and internal teams, delivering clear updates and reports.
- Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and reinforcing best practices in the field.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in commissioning, start‑up, and servicing of large‑frame gas turbines.
- Extensive technical expertise across control systems, electrical and mechanical engineering, PLCs, and SCADA environments.
- Ability to independently lead and execute complex commissioning projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Proven ability to plan and manage project schedules, workflows, and QA/QC processes.
- Collaborative approach to influence outcomes with stakeholders and mentor others through technical leadership.
