Hotel Chief Engineer

Lead engineering operations across two coastal properties in Hyannis, MA, supporting safe, well-maintained facilities while helping your team deliver consistent service. This dual-property role combines hands-on oversight with day-to-day administrative and financial responsibilities across the Hyannis Harbor Hotel and the Ocean Mist Beach Hotel & Suites. The position requires commuting or relocation to the Hyannis, MA area.

Compensation: USD 80,000 - 90,000 per year (onsite in Hyannis, MA).

What you’ll do

• Assist in developing and implementing plans to keep property, equipment, grounds, and other assets in a safe and acceptable state of repair at both properties.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff across both hotels in Customer Service, Empowerment, Standard Operating Procedures, and Loss Prevention.
• Create and post Engineering staff schedules for both properties, including coaching & counseling and evaluations.
• Create and implement preventative maintenance programs for hotel equipment across both locations.
• Ensure emergency and life safety equipment and systems are inspected, tested, and certified to established standards.
• Assist with administration of vendor contracts managed by the Engineering department across both properties.
• Ensure room maintenance requests are handled promptly and with courtesy at both hotels.
• Follow up on alarms immediately to identify the exact location and cause, determine emergency status, report findings to the Front Desk, and take immediate action when necessary.
• Support special projects and renovations at either property as needed.
