Infrastructure Systems Engineer - CIPT

Join General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. as an Infrastructure Systems Engineer - CIPT based in Pittsfield, MA, with a hybrid work arrangement. In this role, you will support engineering laboratory functions and technical work that influences advanced electronics systems, spanning research through layout, build, test, troubleshooting, and repair.

Working in a collaborative global environment, you will help analyze how project decisions affect Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to identify practical, cost-efficient approaches. Your contributions will also support tactical planning for completion of assigned project segments.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze the effects of projects across Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient ways to secure required resources.
• Support tactical planning for the completion of identified project segments.
• Perform research and engineering laboratory functions, including layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, and repair for devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
• Carry out technical activities that impact proposal, system level design, detail design, and manufacture of advanced electronics systems.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience.
• Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline or field, along with developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines or fields.
• Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance required at the time of hire.

• Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field (or equivalent experience).
