Job Description

Onsite in Willoughby, OH, the Installation Field Engineer oversees installation engineering, pre-outage and outage activities, and equipment start-up while coordinating contractors and field commissioning across IMS projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage installation project schedules to align with IMS timelines.
  • Oversee installation contractors (electrical, mechanical, and related trades) at client sites for both pre-outage and outage activities, including project site reports, answering contractor questions, leading update meetings, and directing work to keep the schedule on track amid shifting priorities.
  • Lead Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures during outages and coordinate with the client and construction contractor.
  • Assist or lead wire tagging for equipment replacements, investigate undocumented wiring, and create termination or de-termination sheets as needed.
  • Support on-site commissioning of installed equipment, wiring, and piping, and aid in troubleshooting to ensure proper installation.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, civil drawings, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic drawings used on projects.
  • Redline installation drawings to produce accurate As-Built documents for the Installation Design Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Travel up to 50 percent of the time.
