Job Description

Instrumentation and Data Acquisition Hardware Engineer role onsite in Palmdale, CA with Northrop Grumman.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to production floor technical issues using work instructions, design models, and specifications
  • Develop long term installation planning for individual articles
  • Gather data and define changes required in testing procedures or introduce new testing requirements
  • Contribute to the development of automated test strategies
  • Clarify work instructions to operations staff and adjust as needed
  • Create, initiate, track, and close Prep Items
  • Design test ConOps flows that maximize test resource utilization while meeting schedule and technical constraints
  • Coordinate integrated testing activities; review test requirements for compliance with policies and procedures
  • Identify process improvements, capture operator feedback, and integrate into the installation workflow
  • Resolve issues by collaborating with other resource groups as required
  • Assess technical impact, planning, and strategy for change implementations

Requirements

  • BS in a STEM field from an accredited university with 2 years of engineering experience; OR MS in STEM with 0 years of experience
  • Fundamental ability to troubleshoot systems to identify root causes
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows family, AutoCAD, and/or MATLAB
  • Familiarity with Symvionics IADS software fundamentals or experience in a Mission Control Room
  • Active US Government Secret clearance (BI within last 6 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within the timeframe required by business needs
  • Ability to work various shifts as required

Compensation

  • Salary: USD 83,400 - 125,200 per year
