Lead Electrical Engineer

Lenco Armored Vehicles is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to help shape dependable electrical power architecture for tactical vehicle platforms. This hybrid role in Pittsfield, MA focuses on leading technical design work, coordinating prototyping and testing, and maintaining engineering standards that support next-generation integrated systems.

In this position, you will guide a team of Electrical and Mechatronic Engineers while overseeing electrical schematics, power distribution, and component selection for global durability and performance. You will also be responsible for enforcing wire harness design, routing, and manufacturing best practices across vehicle programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct a team of Electrical and Mechatronic Engineers
• Lead the design of electrical schematics and power distribution for all vehicle platforms
• Direct the selection of critical components to support global durability and performance
• Manage the full prototyping and testing lifecycle for next-generation integrated systems
• Enforce standards for wire harness designs, routing, and manufacturing best practices

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience, including 5+ years in a relevant hands-on role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar design software
• Strong understanding of DC electrical systems (12V/24V)
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, or heavy equipment electrical design
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a focus on safety

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary range: USD 85,000 to 110,000 per year
