Lead Radar Software Engineer

Lockheed Martin's RMS organization in Moorestown, New Jersey is seeking a Lead Radar Software Engineer to steer the development of radar and electronic warfare software. The position blends technical leadership with hands-on work across the software lifecycle, fostering collaboration across engineering disciplines and mentoring junior engineers, all within a security-conscious environment that requires eligibility for a SECRET DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and program personnel.
• Participate in cross-functional Six Sigma style product or process improvement meetings.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools relevant to radar software.
• Engage in all phases of the development lifecycle, including design, coding, and testing.
• Apply RMS engineering processes and procedures while performing software engineering and verification activities.
• Collaborate with teammates across physical sites and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with software development experience; minimum 9 years of experience.
• C++ software development skills.
• Experience debugging, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Experience leading a software development team.
• Experience with formal testing, verification, and validation.
• Experience mentoring software engineers in a team setting.
• Professional experience with Agile principles, CI/CD methodologies, and Agile configuration management tools (Git, JIRA, Confluence).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Security Clearance

Clearance level: SECRET. This position requires a government security clearance and U.S. Citizenship is required for consideration.

Compensation

Base salary range for the New Jersey position: USD 110,500 - 208,344 per year.

Schedule & Location

• Location: Moorestown, NJ (onsite)
• Schedule: 4x10 hour days, three days off per week (First shift)
