Anduril Industries is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Air and Missile Defense Radar team in Denver, Colorado. In this onsite role, you will build real-time tracking algorithms and high-performance distributed software to detect, track, and characterize airborne threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced tracking algorithms for novel air and missile threats, including multi-target tracking, track fusion, and discrimination techniques
- Develop high-performance real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks across dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets
- Build and leverage modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance, quantify system capabilities, and identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systems
- Optimize tracking software for performance-critical environments where milliseconds matter
- Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, program leadership, and customers to support informed decisions
- Participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to help ensure successful deployment and operational effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
- Solid mathematics foundation, including linear algebra and probability and statistics, and/or differential equations
- Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, including design patterns, testing, version control, and debugging
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance

Team Overview
Anduril’s Air and Missile Defense Radar team develops cutting-edge tracking algorithms and software systems for real-time detection, tracking, and characterization of airborne threats. Work is organized in small, focused teams where software engineers build production-grade tracking solutions and distributed systems designed to process large volumes of sensor data with millisecond-level performance requirements. The work spans novel multi-target tracking algorithm development through deployment for government and industry customers supporting mission-critical operations. The team emphasizes the application of mathematics, software engineering, and signal processing to address complex real-world problems.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: USD 190,000 - 252,000 per year. Anduril offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package (available at little to no cost to employees), including health and recovery support. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers as part of Anduril’s total compensation package.
