Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer supports the day-to-day upkeep of Rebel Hotel Company’s facilities by assisting with operation, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment. This onsite role in Maitland, FL includes participation in preventative maintenance, completion of safe trade work, and timely follow-up on alarms to support guest service and operational continuity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment as assigned.
• Replace light bulbs and complete preventative maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs, and similar tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, and the swimming pool and hot tub.
• Conduct plumbing repair and laundry equipment repair. Complete preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supply systems, monitor energy conservation, and repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request.
• Immediately follow up on alarms to determine the exact location and cause, determine emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Complete other tasks and jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
• Work with access to back of house areas and sensitive information.
• Interact with guests and colleagues as needed, with occasional unsupervised contact.
• Maintain access and control to sensitive hotel areas, including the Hotel Safe, Master Keys and/or guestrooms, Storage/Liquor Room, and secured file cabinets.
• Drive safely on behalf of the company for business reasons.
• Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility, and represent the company with reputation, good character, and sound judgment.

Job Duties & Functions
