Manufacturing Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Based onsite in Warren, Michigan at the Stellantis Warren Stamping Plant, the Manufacturing Electrical Engineer leads the design, process, installation, and integration of new programs. The role delivers pressroom systems, provides technical support, coordinates vendor activities, and supports pressroom operations within Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) using SPW tools for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Execute the end-to-end design, process, installation, and integration activities for all new programs at the Warren Stamping Plant as assigned.
- Deliver world-class pressroom systems that meet vertical launch criteria for reliability, safety, throughput, and quality.
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams.
- Coordinate vendor activities within the plant to support all new programs and engineering initiatives.
- Support pressroom operations in Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) initiatives utilizing SPW tools to drive continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of manufacturing experience
- General knowledge of pressroom equipment and processes
- Cradle-to-grave project management experience
- Experience reading, creating, and editing mechanical and electrical drawings
- Strong background in overall pressroom equipment processes and technology
- Ability to work varying shifts as required
- Willingness to travel locally
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Journeyman Skilled Tradesperson (Electrician preferred)
- Experience with press and automation processes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar software applications
- Experience with Tandem, Transfer, Progressive, and Blanking presses
- Experience with destackers, press-to-press, and end-of-line systems
- Knowledge of pressroom control systems
- Servo operation experience with Allen Bradley, Indramat, and Uico
- PLC experience with Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Mitsubishi
- HMI experience with Allen Bradley, Indusoft, and Uticore
- Robot experience is a plus
- Experience in stamping and press room operations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong commitment to task completion
