Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Mechanical Engineer role in Boston, MA (onsite) supporting mechanical design, energy analysis, and construction administration deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Help define project objectives, goals, and documentation policies
- Produce mechanical design loads and calculations for all project phases
- Develop HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection system layouts and associated design documentation
- Coordinate mechanical design efforts across engineering disciplines and with the architecture team
- Oversee drawings production while managing engineering calculations and coordination
- Conduct energy analysis and apply high-performance design methods
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and narrative documentation
- Perform on-site condition surveys as needed for project execution
- Review contractor submittals and RFIs and provide field observations during construction administration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited) or equivalent
- Experience performing mechanical design for HVAC and plumbing building systems on complex projects
- Autodesk Revit experience for Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Experience with energy modeling and producing related reports and presentations
- Energy modeling tools including IES VE, E-Quest, and Ladybug Tools
- Professional Engineer license (PE)
- Passed FE Exam or EIT Registration
- LEED Accredited Professional with prior participation in the LEED or other green rating system process
- WELL Accredited Professional
- Interest in sustainable and high-performance building design (energy, water, carbon, occupant health and wellness, resiliency)
- Motivated individual focused on growth with strong work ethic and organizational skills
