Product Engineer
Job Description
Argonics, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to design mechanical, pneumatic, and selected electrical systems, develop BOMs and manufacturing documentation, lead New Product Development initiatives, and coordinate with customers and vendors. This onsite role is based in Gwinn, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical and pneumatic systems, plus select electrical components, covering welding, machining, sheet metal, calculations, layouts, detailing, and procurement of parts from vendors.
- Create molds and other tooling as required by customer specifications and company requirements.
- Prepare BOMs and manufacturing job orders within the ERP system and oversee the transition of new products into production.
- Develop, edit, and support the creation of technical standards, methods, and procedures for Argonics products.
- Assist in developing and documenting standards and procedures related to customers, subcontractors, or vendors.
- Coordinate activities with customers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Recommend improvements to equipment and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Lead New Product Development projects, including budgeting and cost control.
- Assess technical developments and organizational needs, advising management on systems, products, hardware, and software to guide planning and execution of related work.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, providing hands-on support as needed.
- Demonstrate a readiness to learn and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Four-year technical or engineering degree.
- Minimum of two years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, with SolidWorks preferred and 2D AutoCAD capabilities.
- Demonstrated hands-on capabilities and practical problem-solving ability.
- Strong written and verbal communication, solid organizational skills, and computer literacy (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Proven project management experience.
- Collaborative team player with good multitasking skills.
- Positive, proactive attitude with creative problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and task accuracy.
- Customer service orientation.

Job Status
- Salary, Exempt
- Work Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, 30-minute lunch
- Overtime, alternative days, hours, and shift work may be required

USD 65,000 to 90,000 per year
